Professor Norman Fenton and the PAMBAYESIAN project team hosted the 2nd Project Workshop on 6th February 2019 at the Barts Pathology Museum. Dr. Amy MacBrayne presented the updates on Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) case study and Ali Fahmi explained the progress on Bayesian networks modelling for RA diagnosis and management. Dr. Sarah Finer and Bridget Daley gave their updates regarding Gestational Diabetes (GDM) case study, and the progress of Bayesian networks modelling for GDM was presented by Mariana Raniere Neves. As part of the work on understanding patient needs to provide better human-computer interfaces, Professor Paul Curzon described the team’s work developing personas for the RA case study. They are fictional descriptions of archetypal people, here based on data collected about life with the disease. They help design teams to focus on real patient needs.
